How to screen record on windows 10 using the Xbox Game Bar

Did you know Windows 10 has a screen recording utility called the Xbox Game Bar? Xbox Game Bar is built into Windows 10 so you can capture videos and screenshots of the screen on your laptop or computer. To display the Game Bar controls, press the Windows logo key+G. The Windows 10 Game Bar is a feasible and free built-in screen capture application. 

Step 1: First open the application that you want to screen record. Unfortunately, the Xbox game bar does not let you screen record a few applications, but it does work in regular desktop apps.

Step 2: Click the windows logo + G on your keyboard. Also, make sure any audio you don’t want in the recording is off.

Step 3: Tap on the capture icon as shown below. Click on the camera icon to take a screenshot or click on the dot icon to screen record. You can also press Windows + Alt + R to start recording. 

Step 4: once the recording starts, you will see a timer, recording controls and a microphone on the screen. The microphone is used to switch on and off external sounds to record commentary. 

Step 5: to stop the recording, click on the stop button or press Windows + Alt + R again to stop recording. 

Step 6: Once the recording is stopped a notification will pop up on your screen showing “game clip recorded”. Double click on it to review your recording as see previous captures as well. With Game Bar, you can record your screen for up to 4 hours at a time.

How to record a video using the camera application on your laptop or PC

just follow these simple steps shown below. 

Step 1: click on the start menu on your laptop and launch the camera app. 

Step 2: on the right you will see the camera icon and the recording icon. Click on the recording icon to record a video. 

Step 3: once the recording is done. They are automatically saved to the camera folder. The app lets you record a maximum of three hours. 

If you are recording a video of yourself, I would suggest you to use a web camera for your PC. Webcams enable video conferencing, allow users to monitor a space for security or entertainment purposes, and can record still pictures and video clips.
